Shelagh Stephenson


Shelagh Stephenson is an accomplished writer for both stage and screen. Her work has been performed internationally in London and New York, and includes The Memory of Water, An Experiment With An Airpump, Five Kinds of Silence, The Long Road, Enlightenment, A Northern Odyssey, and Harriet Martineau Dreams of Dancing. Stephenson has also written for highly regarded television shows such as Enid, Shirley, Downton Abbey, Casualty, and Point of Rescue as well as for BBC Radio. She is the recipient of the Olivier Award for Best Play, the Writers Guild Award for Best Play, the BBC Audio Award for Best Series, and the Peggy Ramsay Award for Best New Play.
