Coco Rocha

Model coach

Across the last 20 years, Coco Rocha has emerged as a tour de force in the worlds of fashion and entertainment. Named "Model of the Year" by both ELLE Magazine and Marie Claire, she was also declared a "Top Model of the Decade" by French Vogue. Rocha has graced more than 100 magazine covers (with 40 Vogue covers alone), working with top photographers around the globe. She has walked runways for luxury fashion houses including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Prada, Schiaparelli, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tom Ford, Armani, Moschino, Balmain, and Marc Jacobs. Despite her many accolades, Rocha has always asserted that success doesn't need to come at the cost of sacrificing core values or individuality. Considered the world's first digital supermodel, Rocha was a pioneer in the use of social media and has since gained more than 17 million followers. Using her platform, she has been instrumental in the passage of new laws protecting underage models in New York. Nicknamed the "Queen of Pose" by fashion industry contemporaries, Rocha is known to be one of the most technically proficient and versatile models ever. In 2014 she wrote the book on posing when she published a 200-page encyclopedia titled Study of Pose. With a passion for educating, Rocha famously mentored models in the television series The Face alongside Naomi Campbell and in 2016 made her expertise available to a new generation via Nomad MGMT, an agency she founded in Miami, Los Angeles, and Vietnam. In 2018 she opened the Coco Rocha Model Camp in New York state, offering models a unique and hands-on education. Nearly 600 women from around the world fly to New York each year to attend Model Camp, which now boasts more than 4,500 alumni and includes names like Kendall Jenner, Tabria Majors, Alix Earle, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Melodie Monrose, Dixie D'Amelio, Camille Razat, and Bryce Dallas Howard. She has gone on to teach her program at Harvard University, Brown University, and SCAD. Rocha is also an investor and advisor to technology and media companies including Bumo, FLYP, and p00ls. Most recently, she has returned to fashion television as the face of Project Runway Canada, serving as host, judge, and executive producer. She lives in New York with husband and longtime collaborator James Conran and their three young children Ioni, Iver, and Iley.
