Julian Robaire

As director of Chanel's VIP atelier, Julian Robaire merges conceptual and technical expertise to sculpt evocative garments noted for their impeccable fit for the house's elite clientele. Interested in the traditional savoir faire of luxury craftsmanship from a young age, Robaire studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, developing a passion for three-dimensional design and color theory and earning a B.F.A. in fashion in 2013. He interned at prestigious workshops in New York before moving to Paris, where he continued his studies at the historic École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. Launching his career at Christian Dior and then John Galliano, Robaire led the haute couture team at Jean Paul Gaultier, becoming head of the tailoring department at Celine before joining Chanel.
