Abrima Erwiah

Abrima Erwiah is the co-founder, with actress Rosario Dawson, of Studio 189, an artisan-led fashion lifestyle brand and social enterprise. The brand received the 2021 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the 2018 CFDA Lexus Fashion Initiative for Sustainability Award. An executive-level leader in the fashion industry and luxury goods market with experience in sustainable development, Erwiah has worked for brands including Bottega Veneta, Cesare Paciotti, and Hermès. She is also the founder of Fashion Our Future, an organization that aims to leverage the power of fashion to engage underrepresented communities in the political process, which she developed with designers including Virgil Abloh and Tanya Taylor. Erwiah advises organizations and platforms including Gucci Changemaker, NEST, H&M Global Change Award, CFDA Inclusive by Design, Slow Factory, and Conscious Fashion. She is the recipient of the 2020 Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum’s Emerging Designer Award.
