Aaron Fowler

Aaron Fowler is a New York-based visual artist who was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His work focuses on creating art objects that empower the people he loves. He was recently included in the group exhibition "A Constellation" at The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York. His two-person exhibitions include "Aaron Fowler x Michael Shultis," Thierry Goldberg Gallery, New York, New York; "Skowhegan Performs" in collaboration with Doreen Garner at Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens, New York; and "So Much To She" at Flanders Gallery, Raleigh, North Carolina.
Fowler was named one of "New York's Most Important New Artists" by Time Out Magazine in 2015, and his work can be found in notable collections including The Saatchi Gallery Collection in London, England, and in the Rubell Family Collection in Miami, Florida. Fowler earned an M.F.A. degree from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, in 2014, and a B.F.A. degree in 2011, from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was an artist in residence at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, Maine.
