Shoplifter


Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir, aka Shoplifter, is a New York-based Icelandic artist who works in both synthetic and natural hair, oscillating between sculpture, site-specific installation, and murals. The artist represented Iceland at La Biennale di Venezia in 2019. Recent exhibitions include Kiasma at the Finnish National Gallery, the National Gallery of Iceland, and the Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art in Australia. She has collaborated with the art collective assume vivid astro focus for a window installation at the Museum of Modern Art in 2008 and was granted the Nordic Award in Textiles and The Prince Eugen Medal for artistic achievement from the King and Royal Crown of Sweden in 2011.
