Mwangi Hutter

Ingrid Mwangi (b. 1975, Nairobi, Kenya) and Robert Hutter (b. 1964, Ludwigshafen/Rhein, Germany) live and work in Berlin and Nairobi. After working together for several years and marrying, Mwangi and Hutter merged their names and biographies in 2005 and became a single artist, Mwangi Hutter.  Working in video, digital photography, installation and performance, the duo sees its work as a unit arising from two bodies, two minds, dual histories and the continuous merging of expression. Mwangi Hutter's work has been shown throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the U.S. and South America.
