Merline Labissiere

Fashion

B.F.A., fashion, 2011

Merline Labissiere's eponymous Miami, Florida-based fashion label — designed with working, creative women in mind — is inspired by her Haitian ancestry and her affinity for architecture. Labissiere became nationally known when she was a contestant on the hit television series Project Runway, where she created a challenge-winning look that was produced and sold nationwide for Heidi Klum Intimates. Labissiere also launched Provoke Style Fashion Camp, a non-profit that offers fashion education to inner-city students.
