Jerry Saltz

Jerry Saltz (b. 1951, Oak Park, Illinois) has been senior art critic for New York Magazine since 2007, prior to which he was senior art critic for The Village Voice. He has lectured at The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California; Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts; and many other places.
He is a two-time finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. He has been called "The People’s Critic."
