Derek Blasberg is a writer, editor and New York Times’ best-selling author who has collaborated with celebrated image-makers, including Karl Lagerfeld, David Bailey and Marilyn Minter.

Blasberg is Vanity Fair’s "Our Man on the Street" correspondent and a senior staff member at the Gagosian Gallery, New York. As host of CNN Style, he covers the worlds of fashion, luxury, art and architecture, and major red carpet events from the Academy Awards to the Met gala.

A graduate of New York University, Blasberg’s first job was at Vogue. He has since contributed to a number of major international publications and media outlets, including Harper's Bazaar, Interview, The New York Times and Wall Street Journal, as well as Style.com, among many others.

In 2015, his book "Harper’s Bazaar: Models," a survey of the most influential faces in fashion history, was published by Abrams. His "Very Classy: Even More Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady," an expanded edition of his 2010 best-selling collection of humorous essays, was published by Razorbill in 2012.
