David Amores Ruperto

David Amores Ruperto is senior director of technical and preproduction commercialization for Ralph Lauren footwear and The Frye Company. His passion is driven by a strong desire to create and innovate, incorporating functionality and integrity with the designer’s vision.

Ruperto began his career at a boutique before entering the corporate world, where he collaborated with designers of fast fashion and high-volume commercial brands. In 2007, he started working in a Brazilian factory sample room, eventually overseeing development for several footwear brands within The Jones Group Inc. portfolio, including Nine West, Enzo Angiolini, Anne Klein, Bandolino and Circa Joan & David.

In 2011, Ruperto moved to China to direct product development and help establish The Jones Group Inc.’s first sourcing office in Asia. He has since worked for Polo Ralph Lauren, Polo Sport, and Lauren Ralph Lauren.
