'Little Shop of Horrors'
On Skid Row, quiet, dorky floral shop assistant Seymour Krelborn pines for his co-worker Audrey. When he discovers a unique plant with a thirst for blood, the sinister "Audrey II" draws him further into her clutches, bringing her dream of world domination to fruition. The fabrication of the Audrey puppet spanned two quarters of courses led by production design professor Tyler Schank, challenging students to create four iterations of the plant to represent its life cycle throughout the show — a truly ambitious approach that added an exciting element of realism and horror to the camp classic.

'9 to 5'
Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the bigot they call their boss. Based on the hit movie of the same name, 9 to 5 is a hilarious story of friendship and revenge — outrageous, thought provoking, and even romantic. Adapting the film as a stage performance required the ingenuity and skill of production design students, who developed an industry-rivaling set that elevated the story and its impact.

'Take Two'
Aspiring film director Scarlett Skidmore sets out on a mission to rid herself of the tarnished reputation her grandmother Audrey left on their name. Upon her return to the now-decrepit backlot where Audrey lost her career, she uncovers a missing camera that now acts as a time portal, giving her a chance to change history. This short film epitomizes the dynamic movie-making resources available at SCAD. More than 150 students, alumni, and faculty collaborated on Take Two, which was shot in its entirety at the SCAD Film Studio backlot in Savannah.

'Shakespeare in Love'
William Shakespeare's name didn't always evoke prestige — he was once an unknown grappling with writer's block. While searching for inspiration to complete his latest work, Romeo and Juliet, a young Shakespeare meets Viola De Lesseps, an aristocratic woman who dreams of becoming an actress. Based on the Academy Award–winning film of the same name, this SCAD adaptation filled the stage with impeccably built scenes and breathtaking sets. While the transcendent use of space and material established each act, the gilded costumes brought to life by talented SCAD students shone as the main event.
