Recognition

Ryan Bacha awarded Teaching Excellence Award
Architecture professor Ryan Bacha has been awarded the Vulcan Materials Company Teaching Excellence Award. This annual award recognizes an outstanding faculty member at a Georgia Independent College Association member institution who has made outstanding contributions to undergraduate education, student learning and campus life.
Three professors lead student tours
Interior design professors Meghan Woodcock, Margo Jones and Monica Letourneau took Interior Design Studio V students to Atlanta to tour the firms of Cooper Carry, tvsdesign, Perkins+Will, and Stanley Beaman & Sears, as well the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.
Boggs is IDEC panel discussion leader
Interior design professor Charles Boggs attended the Interior Design Educators Council's national conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a panel discussion leader. His topic was the codification of green building practices and the interior design profession's role in shaping future green building standards. Boggs, the grants committee chair for the organization, coordinates the review, approval and administration of grants funded by IDEC.
Buelvas and team have year's best product
HALCON designer Rodrigo Buelvas (M.A., interior design, 2010) and his team's design, MESA Conference, was selected as the best product of the year by Interior Design magazine.
