Savannah College of Art and Design degree programs include advertising design, animation, architectural history, architecture, art history, arts administration, broadcast design and motion graphics, cinema studies, commercial photography, contemporary writing, digital photography, documentary photography, fashion, fibers, film and television, furniture design, graphic design, historic preservation, illustration, illustration design, industrial design, interactive design and game development, interior design, metals and jewelry, painting, performing arts, photography, printmaking, production design, sculpture, sequential art, sound design, urban design, visual communication and visual effects.

Most degree programs have corresponding undergraduate minors. Additional minors are offered in accessory design, British-American studies, business management and entrepreneurship, ceramic arts, cultural landscape, dance, decorative arts, drawing, electronic design, exhibition design, interaction design, marine design, museum studies, music performance, new media art, storyboarding and technical direction.

Individual Career Advisement
Career advisers assist students in discovering fields of employment and provide instruction on résumé and cover letter writing, portfolio presentation, interview skills and networking.

The SCAD Job Magnet is a free online listing of professional job opportunities, internships, freelance opportunities, career search engines and Web sites relevant to SCAD students and alumni.

Alumni Career Network
Career services staff may put students in contact with SCAD alumni who can offer insight and advice about their professions and assist students and fellow alumni with their job searches.

New Master of Arts in Teaching

Beginning Summer 2007, the Savannah College of Art and Design offers a Master of Arts in Teaching degree (pending approval from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission) for graduate students interested in teaching drama, painting or other art-related classes. The program is designed for teacher candidates with undergraduate preparation in the visual or performing arts and who seek initial certification in art or drama.
