Christopher Bundy explores new novel ‘Baby, You’re a Rich Man’
SCAD’s Ivy Hall Writers Series presents liberal arts professor Christopher Bundy. Bundy’s novel “Baby, You’re a Rich Man,” illustrated by SCAD alumnus Max Currie, follows the story of Kent Richman, a down-on-his luck, B-level variety star on Japanese television, who is forced to go into hiding when he becomes the target of an escaped prisoner. Richmond winds up at a Buddhist retreat where he embarks on a journey of mishap, paranoia, desperation and self-discovery that leads to an illuminating showdown as he attempts to right the wrongs of his past. The book offers a unique look into contemporary Japan and the ongoing struggle for a place to call home.
Bundy’s fiction and essays have appeared in Glimmer Train, Puerto del Sol, DIAGRAM, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and The Collagist, among other print and online publications. He teaches writing and literature at SCAD Atlanta.
The event is free and open to the public. A book sale and signing will follow.
