Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018

SCADshow

Atlanta, GA

1470 Spring St. NW

SCAD presents a featured conversation with Dustin Yellin as a part of SCAD deFINE ART 2018. Yellin will join Alexandra Sachs, executive director of SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film and Atlanta Exhibitions, for a discussion that explores his highly collaborative artistic practice and his experience as founder and director of Pioneer Works, a Brooklyn-based cultural center that hosts a broad range of educational programs, performances, residencies and exhibitions.

As a professional artist best known for his complex and multilayered glass-paneled works, Yellin has also collaborated on projects with Google, the New York City Ballet and Ruinart champagne. Yellin will speak to the business of creating a multidisciplinary artistic community that fosters new modes of thinking, creating and collaborating across various artistic, scientific and social disciplines.

This event is free and open to the public.

This conversation is part of SCAD deFINE ART 2018, held Feb. 20–23 at university locations in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, and Hong Kong. SCAD deFINE ART is an annual program of exhibitions, lectures, performances and public events that highlights emerging and established artists and visionaries.
