Enjoy stories of the American South at Ivy Hall Writers Series

Meet acclaimed authors Julia Franks and Mark Beaver as they read from their latest releases, "Over the Plain Houses" and "Suburban Gospel." The authors will sign books after the readings.

A native of the Appalachian Mountains, Franks lives in Atlanta, where she teaches literature and runs Loose Canon, a site that fosters free-choice reading in the classroom.

An Atlanta native, Beaver has published in numerous journals and magazines, including North American Review, Ninth Letter, Tampa Review, storySouth and more.
