Billing Statements
The student financial services department assists students in understanding, planning for and covering the cost of their education. Student financial services include student accounts, financial aid, and student financial advising. Upon admission, each student is assigned a student financial adviser to assist the student and family with any financially-related question or concern and to assist in developing a plan for meeting educational expenses. Students may consult individually with their adviser in person, by phone or by email. Appointments are recommended the week preceding and the first two weeks of each quarter.
Monthly billing statements are issued July through October for the fall quarter and immediately after the registration periods for winter, spring and summer quarters. Prompt registration ensures that students receive their billing statements in time to meet the payment due dates. All students with account balances receive billing statements at their SCAD email address. Account balances also can be viewed on MySCAD. Students must notify their student financial adviser in order to request that billing statements be sent to a third party.

Terms of Payment
All SCAD fees are payable in accordance with SCAD's published due dates. The student (or parent/guardian, if assuming responsibility) is responsible for ensuring that payments are made by the scheduled due dates. The student is urged to make any necessary financial arrangements (including outside sources such as federal and/or state financial aid, vocational rehabilitation, benefits provided by an employer outside of SCAD or scholarship programs) well in advance of the dates on which fees are due.
A student who is in arrears to any SCAD department may not receive academic transcripts or a diploma. Collection costs are added to all accounts assigned to SCAD's collection service.
Fees not paid by any outside funding sources by the due dates must be remitted by the student or responsible party by the due dates. Late payment fees may be charged when students do not pay tuition, housing or meal plan balances in full by the published due dates or do not have sufficient authorized financial aid. Failure to meet financial obligations may result in dismissal from SCAD.

Payment Options
Payment Options
- MySCAD online secure payment in U.S. dollars with electronic check, credit or debit card: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express. Payments also are accepted by mail or in person.
Payments in Hong Kong dollars should be made in person at SCAD Hong Kong. Checks should be made payable to "SCAD Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited" and should include the student's name and ID number on the back of the check.
- Cash, check, money order or traveler's check is accepted in U.S. or Hong Kong dollars (only those students attending SCAD Hong Kong may pay in Hong Kong dollars).
- Wire transfers in U.S. dollars to SCAD's bank. Allow five to seven business days for the bank to notify SCAD. Indicate student's name and student's SCAD ID number at bank of origin and pay any transfer fees.
- My Payment Plan. Automated drafts in U.S. dollars from a credit card or bank account may be made through MySCAD. The enrollment fee for this service must be paid upon signup. Students paying in Hong Kong dollars can sign up for a payment plan in person at SCAD Hong Kong. Installment payments in Hong Kong dollars can be paid by cash or check. The enrollment fee for this service must be paid upon signup.
- Sallie Mae Tuition Pay Plan. This interest-free monthly prepayment program allows students to pay certain fees in U.S. dollars on a monthly basis throughout the year out of their current income or savings.
Late Payment Fees
A late payment fee of US $150 may be charged when a student has an outstanding balance after the published due date.
My Payment Plan
SCAD is pleased to offer students My Payment Plan, an automated payment plan administered by CASHNet. My Payment Plan allows SCAD students, parents and other authorized users to self-enroll in a payment plan that automatically drafts in U.S. dollars from a credit card or bank account in three installments of the quarterly balance due. Students must enroll in the plan and pay the enrollment fee for each quarter they plan to participate in My Payment Plan.
Students who choose to participate in My Payment Plan are strongly encouraged to enroll in the payment plan prior to the appropriate payment due date to avoid a US $150 late payment penalty. Students who enroll in the payment plan are required to approve the contract with an electronic signature. Students are notified by email when installment due dates are approaching. The payor(s) can then access the account online, review payment plan status and deadlines, make a payment, or schedule automatic payments. Once an installment payment is processed, the student receives an immediate email receipt that can also be accessed in their personal payment history. To enroll, visit the "My Student Account" channel on the My Info tab on MySCAD. Click on the "Make a Payment" link in the channel to launch the CASHNet account in a new window of your Web browser. The "Installment Payment Plan" box will be visible on the right hand side of students' "Student Accounts" page in CASHNet. Financial Aid
If you have applied for financial aid, you should have received your financial aid award letter and enclosure statement. Please read the enclosure statement and take note of additional requirements needed to ensure your all of your financial aid is processed. You must actively accept your terms and conditions each year and accept or declined any aid in offered status before the awards will be disbursed to your student account. Please go to My Financial Aid on the My Info tab of MySCAD to complete this process.
