Georgia HOPE scholarship and grant application
If you are a qualifying Georgia resident undergraduate student, this form is required for you to apply for funds from the state of Georgia. It is important to apply at the same time for all funds you believe you are eligible for. The SCAD financial aid office will not accept any paper applications for Georgia aid; they must be mailed directly to the GSFC.

Use this link to submit requests for changes in existing financial aid awards.

Private Education Loan Self-Certification form
This form is required only for students applying for and receiving a private or alternative education loan. This form should be completed by the student borrower and submitted directly to the lender, as requested.

2013-14 Georgia Residency Verification form
If you are a qualifying Georgia resident undergraduate student, you must complete the Georgia Scholarship Grant application to apply for funds from the state of Georgia. Depending upon the information received, you may also be required to submit a separate Georgia residency form from SCAD along with supporting documentation.

Recognition

Craig Stevens receives educator prize
SCAD professor Craig Stevens, a photographer, printmaker and educator, has received the inaugural $5,000 Susan Carr Educator Prize from the American Society of Media Photographers. Stevens has taught photography at SCAD for 25 years.
C&R Press publishes Chris Bundy book
"Baby You're a Rich Man," a book by writing professor Chris Bundy, has been published by C&R Press. The book, illustrated by SCAD alumnus Max Currie (B.F.A., sequential art, 2012), follows the story of Ken Richman, a down-on-his-luck, B-level variety star on Japanese television who is forced to go into hiding when he becomes the target of an escaped prisoner. "Baby You're a Rich Man" will be released in May.
Absher was named Liz Claiborne Design Scholar
B.F.A. fashion student Katherine Absher was named the 2013 Liz Claiborne Design Scholar by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The prestigious $25,000 award is presented each year to the student who best addresses through fashion the lifestyle and needs of women, as judged by a panel of fashion industry experts.
Builteman, Bowerman chair contest finalists
M.A. furniture design student Laney Builteman (B.F.A., interior design, 2009) and M.F.A. industrial design student Jamie Bowerman (B.F.A., graphic design, 2004; M.A., industrial design, 2012) are finalists in the Battery Park Conservancy's "Build a Chair: America's Design Competition." The top 50 designs, including Builteman's and Bowerman's design, "Chair for Battery Park," were selected by a world-renowned jury from more than 1,500 designers from 15 countries across the Americas. The winner will be announced in November; voting for the competition is open until October. The winning design will be installed in Battery Park in New York City.
