Terms of payment
All SCAD fees are payable in accordance with SCAD's published due dates. The student (or parent, if assuming responsibility) is responsible for ensuring that payments are made by the scheduled due dates. The student is urged to make any necessary financial arrangements (including outside sources such as federal and state financial aid, vocational rehabilitation, benefits provided by an employer outside SCAD or scholarship programs) well in advance of the dates on which fees are due.
A student who is in arrears to any SCAD department may not receive grade reports, academic transcripts or a diploma. Collection costs are added to all accounts assigned to SCAD's collection service. All collection accounts are reported to the credit bureau.
SCAD promptly processes forms for any outside source of funds when the student provides proper information. Students may complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at
www.fafsa.ed.gov. The SCAD FAFSA code is 015022. The disbursement schedules of these outside sources of payment may not permit the release of funds in order to meet SCAD's payment due dates.
Fees not paid by any outside funding sources by the due dates must be remitted by the student or parent by the scheduled dates. Late payment fees are charged when students do not pay tuition in full by the published due dates or do not have sufficient authorized financial aid. Failure to meet financial obligations may result in dismissal from SCAD.
Payment of fees may be made by any of the following:
- Cash, check, money order or traveler's checks.
- Credit or debit cards: MasterCard, Visa and Discover. These payments are accepted by phone, by mail, in person or online via a secure connection MySCAD.
- Wire transfers to SCAD's bank. Allow five to seven business days for the bank to notify SCAD. Indicate student's name and student's SCAD ID number at bank of origin and pay any transfer fees.

- Sallie Mae Tuition Pay Plan. SCAD offers a tuition prepayment plan through Sallie Mae Tuition Pay Plan. This interest-free monthly prepayment program allows students to pay certain fees on a monthly basis throughout the year out of their current income or savings.
Students may use the Sallie Mae Tuition Pay Plan to pay for the total tuition, meal plan and housing balance after financial aid or in combination with loans. Deposits cannot be included in the plan. Students have an opportunity to enroll in the plan prior to fall quarter; the annual fee for enrollment is $55.
For more information, students should contact Sallie Mae at 800.635.0120, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. or Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Students also may visit www.tuitionpayenroll.com.
