After significant research, SCAD determined that Asia, and Hong Kong in particular, is an ideal SCAD location for several important reasons:
SCAD Hong Kong is located at the historic North Kowloon Magistracy Building, 292 Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po.
SCAD Hong Kong opened in September 2010.
Paula Wallace serves as president of SCAD, and this includes all SCAD locations. Professors and staff for Hong Kong are hired through the SCAD human resources department. View current openings online.
SCAD offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Hong Kong. As is customary at U.S. universities, SCAD Hong Kong bachelor's degrees offer four years of instruction, including a core curriculum in fine art foundation studies and general education, before progressing into the major program of study. Master's degrees require advanced knowledge and specialized study that may include field or teaching internships and thesis projects, papers or exhibitions.

Tuition for classes is the same for all SCAD locations. Students at SCAD have the option to pay fees in U.S. dollars or Hong Kong dollars.

Yes, current SCAD professors and staff members are eligible to apply for any appropriate openings. Prospective professors and staff members can view open positions and apply online.
Yes, students in good standing can enroll for one or more quarters at another SCAD location. Current students should consult their student success advisers to explore this option and do not need to submit new applications for admission.
Yes. Credit for all SCAD courses taken at any SCAD location is applied to degree programs, as outlined in the course catalog. Students should consult their student success advisers before registering to be sure the courses are applicable to their programs of study.
Although SCAD is always open to new opportunities that benefit students, the university is committed to focusing resources and energy on Savannah, Atlanta, eLearning, Lacoste and Hong Kong locations.

Yes. Scholarships are available to both United States citizens and non-U.S. citizens and are awarded to entering students prior to first-quarter attendance. Visit scad.edu/scholarships to learn more.
U.S. citizens and eligible non-U.S. citizens may receive federal and state aid and alternative loans while studying at SCAD Hong Kong. For Hong Kong citizens and other qualifying students residing in Hong Kong, the Student Financial Assistance Agency of Hong Kong offers certain types of financial aid. Students are eligible to apply for loans under the Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (NLS) and apply for the Student Travel Subsidy Scheme. Eligibility requirements and application procedures are available through the Student Financial Assistance Agency of Hong Kong. Visit scad.edu/financialaid to learn more.
Students at SCAD Hong Kong have access to all of the same resources offered at other SCAD locations including advising, counseling, career services, learning assistance and student involvement.
