Shuttle buses A SCAD bus system provides free regularly scheduled bus service between open university buildings and residence halls during academic quarters. This service is available to all registered SCAD students, faculty and staff. Expanded service is offered during midterms and finals. Maps and schedules for bus routes are available via

Public transportationIn Atlanta, MARTA operates a network of bus routes linked to a rapid transit system consisting of 48 miles of rail track with 38 train stations. MARTA operates almost exclusively in Fulton and DeKalb counties, with a single bus stop in Cobb (Cumberland Transfer Center), and a single rail station in Clayton at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Hong Kong has one of the most efficient and affordable transportation systems in the world. Public transportation is available between the residences and SCAD Hong Kong supplemented by limited shuttle service. The trip is 30 minutes in length.

Medical transports
In emergency situations, students should call 911 and also notify SCAD security at 404.253.3333 in Atlanta or 912.525.4500 in Savannah. Medical emergency transports are provided by EMS ambulance service. This service is required in any situation where emergency treatment by a paramedic is necessary.
Taxi service
In Savannah, Yellow Cab Taxi Service offers discounted fares for SCAD students, and accepts cash, credit cards and SCAD Cards. For more information, call 912.525.RIDE.
Bicycles
Students are encouraged to use bicycles for transportation at SCAD Savannah and may register them at the SCAD security office, 345 Bull St. Bicycles are governed by the same traffic regulations as motorized vehicles, and riding on sidewalks or through squares and parks is prohibited.
Parking
All students, staff and faculty who park or use a vehicle on SCAD property must register their vehicles. Student parking permits are free and are validated for the academic year (fall through spring). Special events- University events may interrupt routine parking patterns. During any special event or SCAD activity, transportation and parking services will control parking lots in conjunction with SCAD security.
- Failure to heed instructions of transportation and parking services officials will result in the issuance of a citation and possible towing.
- All valid permits issued by the office of transportation and parking services are honored.
