- About SCAD
This challenging five-week program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a summer college experience at SCAD. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their visual arts portfolios.
In Savannah and Atlanta, Rising Star participants have access to university facilities, including classrooms, computer labs, studios, production suites, libraries, galleries, theaters, bookstores and fitness centers. Students live in a SCAD residence hall and have their meals at a SCAD dining facility. All courses are taught by SCAD professors; maximum class size is 20 students. A closing exhibition of student work is held at the end of the program.
