Zach Parrish (B.F.A., animation, 2007) recently celebrated his third anniversary with Disney. Parrish has worked on Disney films such as "Wreck-It Ralph" (animation supervisor) and "Tangled" (animator), and is currently working on the Disney film "Frozen," set to hit theaters in November.

McManus, Jackson and Jackson form GoDesign
SCAD alums Eric McManus (B.F.A., architecture, 2007; M.Arch., 2009), Scott Jackson (B.F.A., architecture, 2008; M.Arch., 2009) and Stephanie Jackson (M.A., historic preservation, 2007) have formed GoDesign. They partnered with other nonprofit organizations to build a school in Ethiopia that will serve 60 children in the village of Dilla. Architecture professors Ryan Bacha and Melanie Parker serve on the board of directors for GoDesign.

The top 50 designs, including Builteman's and Bowerman's design, "Chair for Battery Park," were selected by a world-renowned jury from more than 1,500 designers from 15 countries across the Americas. The winner will be announced in November; voting for the competition is open until October. The winning design will be installed in Battery Park in New York City. Builteman, Bowerman chair contest finalists
M.A. furniture design student Laney Builteman (B.F.A., interior design, 2009) and M.F.A. industrial design student Jamie Bowerman (B.F.A., graphic design, 2004; M.A., industrial design, 2012) are finalists in the Battery Park Conservancy's "Build a Chair: America's Design Competition." The top 50 designs, including Builteman's and Bowerman's design, "Chair for Battery Park," were selected by a world-renowned jury from more than 1,500 designers from 15 countries across the Americas. The winner will be announced in November; voting for the competition is open until October. The winning design will be installed in Battery Park in New York City. Former performing arts student Will Mobley has just signed on for his third season at American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin, where he will play Speed in "Two Gentlemen of Verona," Eros in "Antony and Cleopatra," and also will appear in "Hamlet." He has recently moved to Chicago and is now represented by Grossman and Jack Talent Agency.

Theron Humphrey (M.F.A., photography, 2007) has been named a National Geographic Traveler of the Year for his project, "This Wild Idea," a site supported by donations from angel investors on the fundraising platform Kickstarter.com. Theron traveled the U.S. for 365 days visiting all 50 states and documenting a new person each day through photography and by recording audio of their stories to share.

The book, illustrated by SCAD alumnus Max Currie (B.F.A., sequential art, 2012), follows the story of Ken Richman, a down-on-his-luck, B-level variety star on Japanese television who is forced to go into hiding when he becomes the target of an escaped prisoner. "Baby You're a Rich Man" will be released in May.
