Michael Porten at deFINE ART 2011

M.F.A. painting student Michael Porten talks about his body of work, his influences and his unique outlook on his art in preparation for deFINE ART 2011.

In his own words, his work "focuses on the synchronizing of seemingly disparate content and contexts, such as rainbows, addiction, home, family, painting, theory, science, computers and religion." Porten was featured on the cover and included in Issue No. 88 of New American Paintings, 2010.
