Asif Kapadia at Savannah Film Festival

Six years into studying film, a tutor noted Asif Kapadia's proclivity for telling stories about outsiders taking on the system. Directing “Amy” created a need to become an expert on the singer, approaching her life as an outsider while remembering that singular reason for taking on the project.
