Ivy Hall

Atlanta, GA

179 Ponce de Leon Ave.

Developed and taught by SCAD faculty, alumni and special guests, the Ivy Hall Young Writers Workshop is designed to help Atlanta-area high school students develop as creative, descriptive writers.

The workshops focus on a range of genres including fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry and writing for new media. Sessions run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Selected students' work is featured on the SCAD writing program’s blog.

Students entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grades in Fall 2017 may apply. SCAD will select 15 students based on the strength of their applications and writing samples.

The workshop concludes with student readings at a celebratory reception for faculty, family and friends on Friday, June 16, 2017. Laptop computers are available for student use.
