Join SCAD for the latest installment in the Art of the Mind lecture series as Southern Foodways Alliance Director John T. Edge reads from his book "The Potlikker Papers: A Food History of the Modern South."

Listen to Edge, who is also a contributor to Garden & Gun magazine, reveal how southerners shaped America’s culinary identity, and how race relations influenced the region's food culture during six revolutionary decades.

A Q-and-A session and book signing will follow, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.

This event is sponsored by the liberal arts department and is free and open to the public. Contact Rebekah Thompson at rthompso@scad.edu for more information.
