Display your best work at the 2016 Foundations Honors Show

Now through Friday, April 8, 2016

Compete for cash prizes at this annual juried exhibition as you demonstrate how your foundation studies classes have prepared you for success.

Submissions are open to students enrolled in a foundation studies class during the 2015–16 academic year. Work may be of any medium and size, but must have been created in a SCAD foundation studies class.

Compile up to five of your favorite pieces in a PowerPoint presentation and email it to foundationshonorsshow@scad.edu by Friday, April 8, 2016. Include “2016 FHS” in the subject line, along with your name, contact information and major/minor in the body.

Each PowerPoint slide should contain the following:
• Your name
• Contact information
• Major/minor
• Title of the work
• Medium
• Dimensions
• Class in which the work was produced
• Professor

Please specify if your work is digital and must be exhibited on an LCD screen. Your PowerPoint should not exceed 15 MB.

Students who have been selected will be notified Monday, April 11, 2016.


Foundation Studies and Ex Libris Purchase Award | $700

The Ex Libris Purchase Award winner’s work will be framed and included in the foundation studies department’s permanent collection. Additionally, awards for first place ($200), second place ($150) and third place ($100) will be given in the following categories: black-and-white drawing, color drawing, process drawing, 3-D design, 2-D design and color theory.
