Thursday, April 10, 2014

SCAD Museum of Art

Savannah, GA

601 Turner Blvd.

Join exhibition curator and SCAD Museum of Art program manager Melissa Messina, together with select exhibiting artists, for a screening of the acclaimed documentary "The Woodmans." The film offers a fascinating portrait of the late photographer Francesca Woodman, as told through her work and candid interviews with her artist parents Betty and George.

The screening complements the exhibition "Girl: Continued… the Legacy of Francesca Woodman," which highlights a Woodman photograph from the SCAD permanent collection alongside pieces by seven SCAD artists.

Messina will conduct a "Look Again" gallery tour following the screening. Sign up for the tour at the museum’s front desk beginning 15 minutes before the screening. Limited to 30 guests.

Thursday night programming is free and open to the public. Small plates are $6 each, with wine and beer available for $5 per glass. $10 for a small plate, drink and gallery admission. Gallery admission is free with SCAD ID or museum admission.
