SCAD Casting Office

Based in Savannah, Georgia, the SCAD Casting Office provides film and television productions of all sizes access to outstanding, experienced SCAD actors ages 18-40, who can work in a variety of locations. The office is run by professor Andra Reeve-Rabb, former director of CBS Prime Time Casting in New York, and holds pro casting sessions with SCAD actors for films shooting in the Southeast.

When Rabb hears of a production coming to the area, she reaches out to the casting director to determine the project’s needs and arranges an in-person session with hand-selected actors. If distance is a concern, Rabb puts actors on tape with sides for the casting director’s review.

SCAD actors have been cast in major motion pictures including “CBGB,” “Savannah” and “Footloose,” and in television series including CBS’s “Reckless,” Cinemax's “Banshee,” BET’s “The Game,” Lifetime’s “Army Wives,” and USA Network’s “Royal Pains.”

Additionally, the SCAD Casting Office also places actors in animated, voice-over and music video projects, and in commercials for such companies as Sprite, Coke and Microsoft.

Industry insiders can also see SCAD actors each spring during senior showcases presented in New York City; Los Angeles, California; and Atlanta, Georgia. In 2014, casting directors for broadcast and cable networks called in SCAD actors to read for pilots and agents signed several students on the spot.
