SCAD Rising Star

This challenging four-week program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a university experience. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their portfolios.

Session dates

Savannah and Atlanta
June 29–July 25, 2025

Whether attending in Atlanta or Savannah, all SCAD Rising Star participants utilize university spaces — from classrooms and computer labs to studios and production suites — in the development and completion of class assignments. SCAD libraries, galleries, and other resources are also available. Students participating in the residential program live in a SCAD residence hall and enjoy meals at a SCAD dining hall.

All SCAD Rising Star students gain one-on-one guidance from renowned instructors, experience working with like-minded artists and designers, and access to professional software packages, including Adobe Creative Cloud.

Immerse yourself

Students participating in the SCAD Rising Star residential program live in a SCAD residence hall and enjoy meals at a SCAD dining hall. They are immersed in life at The University for Creative Careers and have the opportunity to explore the rich culture of Savannah and Atlanta — during a summer creating lifelong connections.
