Student services

Outside of the virtual classroom, eLearning students benefit from a wide array of student services and academic resources that serve as a link between traditional university locations and online students living around the world.

Whether you need help overcoming challenges, addressing technical issues or maximizing your SCAD experience, you can find individual attention for your specific need.

Counseling services
The office of counseling and student support services provides individualized assistance to help students succeed both personally and professionally. The office provides creativity and life coaching as well as accommodations for students with a documented disability.

“My state flooded severely at one point during my eLearning enrollment. I was surprised and grateful when a SCAD staff member called to see that my family and I were safe. At SCAD, you’re family.”

Christina Torres | M.A. arts administration, Memphis, Tennessee

Professional staff and faculty advisers assist with course selection and professional development on a regular basis and help guide students toward fulfilling the requirements for graduation and creating a successful and enriching educational experience.

Graduate advising

The Writers' Studio
From term papers to thesis papers, the Writers' Studio assists students at any level and at any stage of the writing process. SCAD eLearning students can make priority appointments. Students submit papers in advance with a request for help in a specific area and communicate directly with Writers' Studio staff during their appointment time.
