Student work to wake up Waters Avenue

Two works by B.F.A. illustration student Colleen D'Antoni and B.F.A. photography student Katie Georgas were selected by a jury to be fabricated and installed in front of the Indigo Sky Community Gallery/MeadowLark Studio in Savannah, Georgia.

MeadowLark Studio, located on Waters Avenue between Waldburg and Gwinnett streets, is leading efforts to use abandoned concrete planters along the vital and historic corridor as venues for relevant and dynamic public art.

D'Antoni and Georgas created the models and proposals in professor Chris Nitsche's Beginning Sculptural Practices I. Their works will be built to full-scale in the spring of 2014.
