SCAD Bees win big at Walt Disney Imagineering's 2018 Imaginations Design Competition
SCAD students won first place and second place after vying against 270 teams in Walt Disney Imagineering's 2018 Imaginations Design Competition. Teams proposed family-friendly attractions to revitalize a real-world, abandoned site. SCAD team "Caguaya" plunged into first place with a proposal that incorporated submersed tunnels, underwater theater, and ecological stewardship. SCAD team "Spaceport Hashima" reached for the stars with a proposal for an interplanetary terminal encompassed by a high-end resort and research and development facilities.
