Writing Center
The writing centers at Jen Library and the ACA Library of SCAD offer students, faculty and staff individualized and small-group assistance with all aspects of the writing process, including prewriting strategies, structuring ideas, developing a thesis statement and other projects. When students arrive prepared to think about and discuss their writing, they benefit from more tailored attention from consultants, making the student-led approach a key factor in successful consultations. The central aim of the Writing Center is to help students become more confident, effective and independent writers. For this reason, the Writing Center does not function as a proofreading or editing service, nor does it act as a substitute for students' relationships with teachers, advisers or committee members. How it Works Appointments are required and last approximately 30 minutes. Students are limited to one appointment per week. To schedule an appointment, call 912.525.4707 (Savannah) or 404.253.3109 (Atlanta), or stop by the Writing Center in Jen Library (Savannah) or the ACA Library of SCAD (Atlanta).
