Divia Harilela is the founder of The D’Vine, a website devoted to all things fashion, with an emphasis on the growing luxury market in Asia.
She has worked in the lifestyle and fashion media for more than 15 years. Most recently she served as fashion editor for Hong Kong’s leading English-language newspaper, The South China Morning Post, where she remains a contributing editor. She has also contributed to publications including Vogue China, Departures, Elite Traveler, Surface Asia and the Financial Times website howtospendit.com.
Publications such as Asiaweek and the International Herald Tribune have quoted Harilela as a leading authority on fashion in Asia. She is an associate contributor at Business of Fashion, providing insight into China’s rapidly emerging fashion market.
A native of Hong Kong, Harilela holds a bachelor’s degree in English and comparative literature from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England. Although she is based in Hong Kong, she can often be found navigating the cobbled streets of Paris, interviewing design luminaries such as Karl Lagerfeld, Phoebe Philo or John Galliano.
