Joshua Schulman is president of Bergdorf Goodman, a position he has held since April 2012. In this role he has overseen a period of renovation in both the men’s and women’s divisions of the century-old luxury retailer’s stores.
Schulman has an extensive background with luxury brands and international specialty retailers spanning two decades, with merchandising, retail, wholesale and brand management experience in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Before his appointment at Bergdorf Goodman, Schulman served as CEO at Jimmy Choo in London for five years, where he led a multi-channel expansion, increasing the number of stores from 55 to 140 in 32 countries. He spent eight years at Gucci Group, five years of which was spent in Paris as an executive vice president at Yves Saint Laurent and three years in New York City and Florence, Italy, as the worldwide director of women’s ready-to-wear for the Gucci brand.
Schulman has also served as president of Kenneth Cole New York and held senior executive positions at Gap Inc. He has worked as vice president and director of sales and marketing for Richard Tyler and worked for Marc Jacobs at Perry Ellis.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Schulman attended New York University and Parsons The New School for Design.
