Hong Kong
Within the venerable walls of the historic former North Kowloon Magistracy building, SCAD brings prestigious U.S. art and design education and professional career preparation to Hong Kong, a sophisticated international city on the southeastern coast of China. SCAD has renovated and adapted the majestic facility to include a library, art gallery, digital labs, studios, classrooms and lecture halls.
Student Life
Eight programs of study are offered through bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Exhibitions, cultural arts programming and other activities enliven the student experience and build strong community ties. Student housing is available. In addition to Cantonese, English is an official language of Hong Kong. All SCAD Hong Kong classes are taught in English.

Daily Tours
Tours for prospective students and their families are available by appointment, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and on selected Saturdays. After each tour an admission representative is available to answer questions, assist in completing application forms, and provide information about scholarships, financial aid and portfolio preparation. Students and their families can sign up for a tour online.

SCAD Days
SCAD Days allow high school juniors and seniors to tour SCAD facilities and Hong Kong attractions while connecting with professors, current students and other rising college students interested in SCAD. Students may also schedule portfolio counseling appointments and attend informational sessions during SCAD Day. SCAD Days are scheduled throughout the year.

Portfolio Presentations
Portfolio sessions guide students through the process of assembling a portfolio to strengthen their admission applications and possibly qualify them for merit-based scholarships. Students will learn about the portfolio review committee's criteria for judging portfolios and will see examples of portfolios that merited past scholarships. Students are encouraged to register in advance.
