This year, the SCAD Challenge lamp design competition called for original illuminated sculptures demonstrating craftsmanship and creativity. From all the submitted entries, the SCAD Challenge mentors selected 19 finalists whose work exhibited technical skills, design ingenuity and creative use of illumination. A panel of faculty judges reviewed the finalists' lamp designs and chose the three student designers whose work demonstrated the greatest potential for success as both SCAD students and creative professionals. These three winners will be awarded scholarships to attend SCAD.
