A SCAD bus system provides transportation to and from class free of charge. The buses continue to run after class hours to provide late-night transportation. These services are free of charge and operate between open college facilities and residences within designated parameters.
The bus system provides transportation for other activities including regularly scheduled shopping trips. Transportation for medical appointments and non-emergency medical concerns is provided 24 hours a day.

Beeline Bus Service The college offers free 24-hour Beeline bus service to all classroom buildings, residence halls and many non-college locations. Schedules are available each quarter at various locations, including Turner Express Office and transportation and parking services, 22 E. Lathrop Ave. Special requests should be directed to 912.525.8015, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Airport, Train Station and Bus Station Transportation Airport, bus and train station pick-up and drop-off is available to SCAD faculty, staff and students. The service is offered for two days prior to the start of each quarter and for the final three days of each quarter, as well as commencement day. The service is for the transportation of SCAD faculty, staff and students only.
- Saturday and Sunday immediately prior to the beginning of the quarter: 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
- Final Wednesday of the quarter: noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
- Final Thursday of the quarter: 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
- Final Friday of the quarter: 4 a.m., 6 a.m., 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.
- Commencement Saturday: 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Medical Transports Transportation for medical appointments and non-emergency medical concerns can be arranged Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. by calling 912.525.7293 at least 24 hours in advance. After business hours and on weekends requests can be made by calling 912.525.RIDE (7433) at least 24 hours in advance.
In emergency situations, students should call 911and also notify college security at 912.525.4500. All medical emergency transports are provided by EMS ambulance service. This service is required in any situation where emergency treatment by a paramedic is necessary.
Shopping Express
SCAD provides a weekly shopping shuttle on Fridays and Saturdays. The shuttle makes stops at Wal-mart, Oglethorpe Mall, Best Buy, Kinko's, AIS Computers, Home Depot, Lowe's and the Savannah Mall. For more information, call 912.525.8015.
Late-night and Weekend Shuttle SCAD offers a free late-night (11:30 p.m.-6 a.m.) and weekend shuttle during academic quarters and spring break. This service may be requested by calling 912.525.RIDE (7433). The service operates between college-operated facilities and downtown residences within the following parameters:
- North to Indian Street
- South to DeRenne Avenue
- West to Lathrop Avenue
- East to Skidaway Road
Students are only transported to or from facilities that are open. For safety reasons, SCAD transportation does not drop students off or pick students up at buildings that are closed.
Bicycles
Bicycles are governed by the same traffic regulations as motorized vehicles, and riding through squares and parks is prohibited.
