Community education

SCAD offers community education classes and workshops in Atlanta and Savannah at any skill level in a variety of disciplines. These workshops are offered on an open enrollment, non-credit basis to provide educational and personal enrichment for youth, teens and adults.

Summer programs

SCAD offers an array of summer courses, camps and workshops for credit and for enrichment. The summer quarter schedule includes off-campus, on-campus and SCAD eLearning courses offered for credit to degree-seeking students, as well as to transient and nondegree-seeking students.

The Art Educators' Forum provides workshops for art teachers to learn new skills, network with colleagues from around the world and rejuvenate for the coming school year.

The Advanced Placement Institute is a program sponsored by the College Board to certify teachers for Advanced Placement studio art or art history.

Summer programs for high school students

SCAD Summer Seminars are designed for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to explore a variety of creative disciplines across the SCAD curriculum.

Rising Star is a five-week residential or commuting program for students who have completed their junior year of high school and are ready for a pre-college experience.

school students

Art Smarts children's camp provides creative learning experiences for students in elementary and middle school to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the arts.
