SCAD performing art's "IMPROV" production was featured with an article and a full-page photo on the cover of the DO section of the Savannah Morning News on Oct. 13, 2011. The production was also highlighted on WSAV-TV news programming.
Nicholas, Szeinbaum go to lighting conference

B.F.A. production design student Jenny Nicholas and Evelyn Szeinbaum (B.F.A., production design, 2011) received the USITT Theatrical Lighting Design Stipend to the International Association of Lighting Designers Enlighten Americas 2011 conference held during September in New Orleans. The stipends covered their conference expenses, and Szeinbaum is now interviewing for internship positions with several of the companies she met while at the event.
Design commission awards Michael Devine

SCAD production design professor Michael Devine has been awarded the 2012 Distinguished Achievement Award in Design by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology Scene Design Commission. The commission has dedicated a session at the USITT National Convention on March 30, 2012, from 2:45-4 p.m. to celebrate the award.
