SCAD offers one of higher education's leading printmaking programs, providing an engaging balance of traditional and contemporary practices.
The SCAD Atlanta printmaking facilities provide a juxtaposition of old and new with state-of-the-art digital technology, including photographic computer applications, alongside traditional processes.
SCAD's printmaking program fosters an ambitious internship program, featuring connections to the most prestigious galleries and print shops in the professional printmaking world.
Every spring, SCAD printmaking seniors gain exposure for their work through the Southern Graphics Council International, the largest printmaking conference in the world.

Cornelison has apprenticeship on organic farm

Michelle Cornelison (B.F.A., printmaking, 2011) accepted a summer apprenticeship on an organic farm in Michigan where she will learn about gardening, beekeeping, caring for sheep and chickens and spinning yarn from wool sheared from the sheep.

Four receive Art Director's Club Awards

SCAD students and alumni were recognized at the 2011 Art Director's Club Awards. Vanessa Chan (B.F.A., animation, 2010) received a Merit Award for "Building Blocks," and B.F.A. printmaking student Janie Stamm received a Merit Award for "Elephantis." M.F.A. animation student Claire Almon won a Bronze Cube Award for "Grampa Kevorkian," and Landon Donoho (B.F.A., film and television, 2010) received a Bronze Cube Award for "Flicker."
