Nearly 50 SCAD students and professors were hired for the feature film "CBGB." Twelve students had speaking roles and received SAG-AFTRA eligibility.
SCAD offers the only full-time, on-campus casting office to assist students in securing stage and screen auditions.
SCAD presents six mainstage productions each year, including two dance concerts.

Achter works at Belmont Abbey College

Heather (Byrd) Achter (M.F.A., performing arts, 2012) is adjunct professor of theater at Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she teaches Introduction to Theatre and helps promote the program to potential students.
Adelle Drahos directs documentary

Adelle Drahos (B.F.A., performing arts, 2012) is directing a feature length documentary, "Dangerous Crosswinds." She and her crew just traveled cross-country and are now entering the postproduction phase.
Ashley Sahler starts voice acting business

Ashley Sahler (B.F.A., performing arts, 2012) is starting a voice acting business based out of her home recording studio. She is currently voice acting in independent animation projects being pitched to animation studios.
