Painting

The SCAD painting department has operated the New York City Workspace Opportunity in Manhattan since Summer 2001. Every quarter, a painting student is selected to work in a studio space near Times Square.
 
 

Eligibility

  • To apply, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a declared painting major enrolled at SCAD for the stated academic term
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Be age 21 or older
  • Be a graduate-level (minimum 30 credit hours completed) or advanced undergraduate-level (minimum 120 credit hours completed with at least 30 credit hours completed at SCAD)
 
 

Apply

Completed applications should be submitted to the office of off-campus programs in York Hall. Include application form, project proposal, 10-20 slides of work related to the project proposal (slides or power point slideshow are acceptable), résumé and current unofficial college transcript or CAPP.
