SCAD students Max Reinhardsen and Ivey Lowe win Irene Ryan National Audition

SCAD performing arts seniors Max Reinhardsen and Ivey Lowe have won the Irene Ryan National Audition at the Southeastern Regional Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, each earning a $500 scholarship and a trip to the Kennedy Center in April to perform at the National Festival for a chance to win a variety of awards, scholarships and apprenticeships.

SCAD alumna unveils her start-up company on ABC's "Shark Tank," walks away with investment offer

SCAD alumna Megan Cummins (B.F.A., graphic design, 2008) unveiled her new start-up company, You Smell, a line of all-natural, luxury bar and paper soaps, on ABC's "Shark Tank" on Friday, Feb. 3 and walked away with an offer better than she expected.

"This opportunity has launched the company solely with the exposure we've received," said Cummins. "One of the hardest things about starting up is getting in front of your audience, and Shark Tank provided that on an international level."

SCAD alumnus lands recurring role in hit BET series "The Game"

SCAD alumnus Sean Michael Moreno (B.F.A., performing arts, 2010) has been cast in a recurring role in the hit BET series, "The Game," a 'dramady' that follows the lives of professional football players and their significant others as they navigate fame, family and friends. Moreno plays Larry 'Hot Sauce' Warfield, a big, bad and bruising member of the show's fictional football team, the "San Diego Sabers."
