SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Savannah College of Art and Design held its 30th annual
Sidewalk Arts Festival Saturday, April 30, in Forsyth Park. Thousands of visitors viewed temporary chalk masterpieces created on the walkways of the historic park, and approximately 500 SCAD students competed for prizes. SCAD alumni and prospective students also participated in the competition. Online, students, alumni and prospective students from around the world joined the competition in the Cyberwalk Arts Contest. The 2011 festival also included two award sponsors: Gray's Reef and American Greetings.
