Course offerings prepare students for professional careers in global creative industry
HONG KONG-SCAD, the university for creative careers, will have a strong presence at this year's Hong Kong International Education Expo (HKIEE) July 9-10 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As the most comprehensive art and design university in the world and Hong Kong's only university dedicated exclusively to these fields, SCAD will offer information on how the university prepares talented students for professional, creative careers.
SCAD admission representatives will be on hand at Expo booth B02, B04, C01 and C03 to discuss university application requirements, course offerings and career preparation offered at the university's four global locations in
Atlanta and
Savannah, Georgia;
Lacoste, France;
Hong Kong; and online via
SCAD eLearning. SCAD offers an innovative curriculum, accomplished professors with impressive academic credentials and significant professional experience, facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology and learning resources, and a student success staff to offer a variety of services to help students pursue professional careers.
In addition, SCAD Hong Kong Associate Director of Recruitment Jesse Schlabach will present a talk on "How to Prepare a Dynamic Portfolio," explaining what admission representatives at prestigious U.S. art and design universities like SCAD look for in a prospective student's art portfolio submission. The presentation will take place Saturday, July 9, from 2:45-3:15 p.m. at the stage in Hall 3G.
SCAD Hong Kong Admission Representative Kelly Pescod also will discuss "A Guide to Selecting an American University" Sunday, July 10, from 2:45-3:15 p.m. at the Seminar Room. The seminar is intended to give tips and advice to help international students find the U.S. university that best meets their learning needs.
