SAVANNAH, Georgia - The Savannah College of Art and Design announces SCADanimate!, the showcase of short films from the SCAD animation department by the university's most talented student animators, Sept. 24, 7:30 p.m., at Lucas Theatre, 32 Abercorn St. The event is free and open to the public.
Now in its seventh year, SCADanimate! highlights the imagination and diversity of animated storytelling from SCAD's Savannah and Atlanta locations. Many of the films from previous SCADanimate! events went on to win awards at national and international film festivals.
SCAD offers the most comprehensive degree programs in animation. The program has been named among the world's top animation schools and among the "Ivy League of Animation" by 3D World magazine, offering a comprehensive array of courses and degrees. The university is the only art and design institution to offer programs in every specialization in animation.
